“Honest Eddie” Eddie Murphy was nicknamed as such for being one of the players who was not banned from baseball during the Black Sox Scandal. This Silver Bat and ball was presented to him for being the leading batter in the AA Minor Leagues. Etched onto the bat it reads, “Edward Murphy Leading Batter Columbus AA Team 1923 Ave .353.” Please note, there is a minor indentation on the grip of the handle.
