In terms of sheer star-power– not to mention outstanding display properties! – this fascinating sphere is a truly memorable one. Decorating the surface of the white and lightly used Official A.L. (Barnard) ball offered here are ten period signatures of players representing different teams and leagues but with undisputed brilliance in common. The boldly legible blue or black ink scriptings include: Babe Ruth (sweet spot), Lou Gehrig (a very precisely inked signature example, situated alone on a side panel), Mickey Cochrane, Al Simmons, Joe Cronin, Lefty Grove, Jimmie Foxx, Earl Averill, Rube Walker and George Earnshaw. The ball concedes spots of toning, particularly on one side panel, but retains vivid and attractive manufacturer's stampings. LOA from PSA/DNA.
