When the Los Angeles Lakers won their second consecutive NBA title in 1988, you knew the premise of their championship rings. The face of this (presumably ladies) size 8.75/17.3 gram 14K gold ring has a single diamond surrounded by 12 smaller diamonds, with “WORLD CHAMPION LAKERS 1988" ringing the perimeter in raised lettering. There are two very small diamonds on either side of the 1988 year. Left shank features an enamel NBA logo and the words "BACK TO BACK 1987, 1988." Right shank provides a Lakers team logo at center of text with the name "KIM" and "LAKERS 4, PISTONS 3" Finals result. Within the band is stamped “J14K”. Tremendous ring from their second of back to back NBA titles, and a very scarce ladies style ring, much different than the larger rings presented to front office and players. The recipient “KIM” had to be close to the team as the ring is a 14K gold variety, normally presented to players and higher up executives. Excellent to Mint condition.
