The 1988 season was one of the most magical in Los Angeles Dodgers history, culminating in the exciting four game sweep of the mighty Oakland A’s in the World Series. Who can ever forget Tommy Lasorda jumping out of the dugout, with his arms raised in celebrating the dramatic game winning home run by Kirk Gibson in Game 1 of that Series? This gray, road button-down knit jersey has “Dodgers” scripted across the chest in blue-on-white tackle twill, complete with the standard paraph. On the left side is Lasorda’s number “2” in red. There is a bold, black Sharpie “Good Luck Tom Lasorda” signature to the left of the team nickname. Inside the collar is the “Rawlings 48” size tag with attached “SET 1 1988” flag tag. Across the back is his name “LASORDA” with his number “2” below, both in blue-on-white tackle twill. A tremendous game worn jersey from a Hall of Fame manager during one of his most magical seasons. This jersey comes with a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema and a COA from PSA/DNA.
