The 5th Super Bowl Championship under legendary San Francisco 49ers former owner Eddie DeBartolo would be his last, but was marked with an incredible performance by quarterback Steve Young, emerging from the shadow of Joe Montana’s legend, to throw a Super Bowl record 6-touchdown passes (three of them to Hall-of-Fame wide receiver - Jerry Rice) en route to the Super Bowl XXIX MVP Award. This truly amazing, solid 10K Yellow Gold ring, crafted by world-renown Balfour (stamped “LGB 10K), weighs in at a whopping 49.1-Grams of 10K, and features extremely high quality genuine diamonds, because of being issued to DeBartolo. There’s 49-sparkling diamonds in all, including 5-large cut marquis diamonds, which form the shape of 5-Vince Lombardi Super Bowl trophies, representing their 5th World Championship! DeBartolo’s name is in raised relief on the right shank above a 3D sculpted image of five Lombardi trophies rising out of the San Francisco Bay, over the famed Golden Gate Bridge. Below that detailed craftsmanship is “49ers 16-3” denoting the team’s record for that dominating ’94 season. The left shank is even more impressive, having the 49ers “SF” logo and the NFL’s 75th Anniversary logo, along with the Super Bowl XXIX logo below, in never done before, hard-fire color glass enamel on the side. Below, the game score “49-26” with the number “5” engraved on a football, which only a handful received, in recognition of DeBartolo being there for all five 49ers Super Bowl championships. DeBartolo was so proud of the achievement, he gifted a handful of the rings to close family members, which is where this ring originates. In 2008, DeBartolo would be inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall-of-Fame, the 1st person ever to receive this honor who did not coach or compete in a professional sports. In 2009, he was inducted into the 49ers Hall-of-Fame, and in the same year, DeBartolo was named a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall-of-Fame as a contributor to the game. This Size-10.25 ring still remains in pristine, Nr. Mint to Mint condition and accompanied by its original 7 ½” x 2 ½” x 6” wooden presentation box with “San Francisco Forty Niners 1991 Super Bowl XXIX” etched on its glass window.
