The 1997-98 NBA season was a landmark one for Hall of Famer Michael Jordan as he played his final season with the Chicago Bulls and capped off his Windy City career by leading the Bulls to a 62-20 regular season record and their sixth NBA Title in eight years. Jordan’s final season in Chicago saw him lead the league in scoring with a 28.7 points per game average and also earning the NBA Finals MVP.
After finishing first in the Eastern Conference and easily dispatching the New Jersey Nets in three games, Jordan and the Bulls continued their quest for their sixth title by facing the Charlotte Hornets in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. Jordan wore this Size 50 (Length +4) Nike mesh home white jersey during the Bulls 83-70 victory in Game 1 on May 3, 1998 at the United Center in Chicago. Jordan scored a game-high 35 points as Chicago would ultimately win the series 4-1.
The jersey has the Nike tag, surrounded by a NBA Authentics tag on left and a Chicago Bulls logo tag on the right on the bottom front left tail. “BULLS” and “23” are sewn on front in red and black tackle twill while “JORDAN” is sewn directly to jersey on the back along with his number 23 in the same red and black color scheme. The NBA logo is embroidered on the upper left shoulder and the open arms and neck are ribbed with a red/black/white/black red pattern. Adding to this impressive jersey is the black marker signature of Jordan, who signed his name diagonally on the “2” of his “23” on the back of the jersey.
This jersey comes with full LOAs from the Chicago Bulls and The MeiGray Group, who have photo matched this jersey to the May 3, 1998 playoff game vs Charlotte and an Upper Deck Authenticated hologram (BAM00001) for Jordan’s signature. THIS IS THE ONLY MEIGRAY PHOTOMATCHED PLAYOFF JORDAN JERSEY TO EVER COME UP FOR PUBLIC SALE!
