Tino Martinez’ 1996 trade to the New York Yankees solidified the Bronx Bombers team which from 1996-2000 won four World Series titles in five seasons including the monstrous 1998 season where the Yankees won record 125 total games. This black Rawlings PRO-FMA model glove was manufactured in 1997 and worn by Martinez during at least spring training during the 1998 World Series title season. The glove displays nice game wear with a well-worn pocket and web face, with appropriate wear on the finger tips. All manufacturer labeling is present and the outer thumb has “Tino Martinez” embroidered in gold thread. The three gold dots under the “GOLD GLOVE SERIES” on the outer portion indicate this glove was manufactured by Rawlings in 1997. An LOA from PSA/DNA is included authenticating this glove, but also adding “We located photographs of Martinez using what possibly could be the same glove during the Yankees 1998 spring training. During the regular season, Martinez is pictured using a tan leather glove.” Likely could be a glove Rawlings wanted Martinez to try and he used for spring training, eventually switching up. Tremendous game used glove from one of the best players of that Yankee run of World Sereis titles. This item comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00286).
