At the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, the men’s basketball team was known as the Redeem Team, and was loaded with stars such as LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade, Dwight Howard and Chris Paul. However, there was never any question Kobe Bryant was the team's leader, and he carried Team USA down the stretch. During the 2008 gold-medal game, Spain chipped the USA lead down to as little as two points in the fourth quarter. Bryant put to rest all hopes of the Redeem Team falling short, scoring 13 points down the stretch in the 118-107 thriller and win the gold for the United States. These shoes were worn by Bryant during the 2008 Olympics, and has been signed by the entire 2008 Men’s Basketball Team. The shoes show great wear and likely were worn for multiple games. The size 14 NIKE shoes were worn by Bryant during the Team Photo, and several games of the tournament and have his Olympic number “10” embroidered near the toe. The left shoe has been signed boldly in black Sharpie by Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Michael Redd, Jason Kidd, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dwayne Wade (somewhat light). The right shoe includes Kobe Bryant, Deron Williams, Jason Kidd, Dwight Howard and Dwayne Wade. These shoes were obtained directly from the Bryant family’s housekeeper who was given these shoes as a gift, and documentation is provided as to her authenticity. To vouch for the validity of the housekeeper and these shoes, images of Kobe Bryant’s 2008 Olympic picture badges are shown, BUT ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE SIGNED SHOES.
