October Legends and Americana Ending November 14th

On October 3, 2012 Clayton Kershaw won his 14th game of the year, a 5-1 trouncing of their eternal rivals -the Giants. The Dodgers ace struck out 8 in as many innings and helped his cause by hitting an RBI single. That he beat the Giants on the date of October 3 is a bit significant: 61 years earlier on that date Bobby Thomson hit the "home run heard 'round the world" off Dodger pitcher Ralph Branca to win the pennant for the Giants. In 2012 the Giants weren't so lucky against Kershaw. The white home jersey he wore that night has "Dodgers" across the front in royal blue tackle twill. Kershaw's number "22" is below in vibrant red. The left front tail has the Majestic size 50 label. The inside collar has "22 Kershaw 50 2012" sewn onto a white strip tag. The left sleeve carries the "LA" logo in blue tackle twill and the right sleeve has the Dodger Stadium 50th Anniversary patch worn only during the '12 season. The back has "KERSHAW" across the shoulders and his number "22" in individual blue tackle twill characters. The jersey shows great game use with many Dodger Stadium turf marcus and scuffs throughout. It looks every inch like the gamer worn by the best pitcher in baseball today. Letter of Authenticity (EK217977) from MLB.
