Always thoughtful with respect to his friends, Babe Ruth took a moment during a California trip to send a quick note to the East Coast. Dated March 10, 1942 and canceled at the Los Angeles post office, Ruth inscribed this postcard's bright white back in neatly penciled strokes. Addressed to, "Dr. Irwin - St. Albans Golf Club - St Albans L.I. - NY," the card's message reads, "Regards to Joe and all the boys - Weather Lovely [signed] Babe." A very strong first-name signature! Matted and framed – along with a pensive dugout image of Ruth – to 26" x 22-1/2" total dimensions. LOA from PSA/DNA. Goldin Auctions will be donating 5% of the winning bid price of this lot and all lots in this auction to the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum.
