In a career that has spanned more than 40 years, Eric Clapton has forged an incomparable guitar legacy. One of the most important guitarists of his era, Clapton’s blues-inflected rock has served to influence a new generation of guitar heroes. He is the winner of 18 Grammy Awards, and is the only 3-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (with the Yardbirds in 1992, Cream in 1993, and as a solo artist in 2000). Such is his stature that, when Fender decided to manufacture a signature guitar series, Clapton was the first artist they approached. The result was the Fender Artist Series Eric Clapton Stratocaster®, an electric guitar modeled after Clapton’s own. This Eric Clapton model Fender Strat has a pewter body with a white pick guard, and a soft “V” maple neck and maple headstock. Clapton has signed on the body, just below the pickguard, in black.
