Presented here is a one dollar bill signed by two members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Joe DiMaggio and Dizzy Dean. DiMaggio and Dean were two of the premier players of their era, with Dean achieving his greatest measure of fame as a member of the Gashouse Gang St. Louis Cardinals team of 1934. DiMaggio debuted in 1936, embarking on a career that would see him claim nine World Series trophies, three American League MVP Awards, and the admiration of millions of adoring fans.
DiMaggio and Dean both signed this dollar bill to the left of the portrait of George Washington in blue pen. “To Josephine / From” is inscribed above DiMaggio’s signature. “1954” is written in red pen to the left of the signatures. This dollar bill has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (81933378).
