Offered is a lot of seven ticket stubs from the 1955 World Series, which featured the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers. Games 1 and 2 were at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, and the 2 x 4 inch ticket stubs are printed on white card stock with red, blue and black printing, including a blue and red Yankees logo on the front. The Game 1 ticket stub has an orange and pink background on the front, while the Game 2 ticket has a purple and light blue background on the front. Games 3, 4 and 5 were at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, and the tickets stubs are blue and red printing on white card stock, including a blue Dodgers logo on the front.
Games 3 and 4 have an orange-colored band over the seat location, while game 5 has a yellow-colored band. The ticket stub for game 6, back at Yankee Stadium, has the same color printing scheme as the game 1 ticket stub. The ticket stub for game 7 at Yankee Stadium has a tan and light blue background on the front of the ticket. The game 7 ticket stub has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA (26125078). The ’55 World Series saw the Dodgers win the championship in seven games against the Yankees, capturing their first title in franchise history. It would be the only World Series the Dodgers won in Brooklyn (the team relocated to Los Angeles after the 1957 season. It was the fifth time in nine years that the Yankees and Dodgers met in the World Series, with the Yankees having won in 1947, 1949, 1952 and 1953 (the Yankees would also win in the 1956 re-match).
