Sammy Sosa is so identified as a Chicago Cub that not many recall he got his first break on the Southside of town with the White Sox. Though he showed flashes of the power he later be known for, the Sox gave up on the strikeout prone Sosa after the 1991 season, trading him to the Cubs where he made home run history. This bat dates from Sosa's last year on the Southside. The Louisville Slugger G157 model bat is un-cracked and shows outstanding use.
