For almost a decade and a half, Roy White was the New York Yankees switch-hitting left fielder. Often overshadowed by the bigger personalities in the clubhouse like Reggie Jackson and Thurman Munson, White was the team’s quiet anchor, coming through in the clutch and patrolling his patch of outfield grass like he owned it. White used this offered bat during the 1969 through 1972 seasons. 1969 marked Roy White’s first All-Star Game appearance and the Yankees left fielder ended the summer with a smooth .290 average. By 1972, White had led the AL in walks and finished with a solid .270 average.

Offered here is a Hillerich & Bradsby K55 model bat that was used by Roy White during the 1969-72 seasons. This bat displays excellent game use and has a crack on the handle. There are ball marks and bat rack streaks present on the barrel. The handle has been taped in two spots, the upper handle in a spiral pattern with a raised bottom, plus a raised portion just off the knob. The bat’s model number “K55” has been stamped on the knob and White’s number “6” is handwritten in black marker on the knob as well. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B24867) for the game use.
