This bat was sent back to the M.R. Campbell factory in Tennessee by an unknown player. The right barrel has been planed and factory writing applied. Though not all letters and words are legible it appears that the player's initials indicate that someone other than Charlie Grimm sent the bat in to be recorded and duplicated. It's a shame we cannot tell who the ballplayer was because he sure must have liked Grimm's model bat as indicated by the heavy use evident throughout. The handle has a crack and many ball marks are seen. The remnants of five rings of adhesive tape can be made out on the handle and the remains of a shipping label are left on the barrel. This is a very desirable professional model bat from a seldom-seen manufacturer. Letter of Authenticity (1B07761) from PSA/DNA.
