After his tremendous career with both the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, Wade Boggs ended his Hall of Fame career with his home town Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Boggs used this 34-3/8 inch, 32.1 ounce un-cracked Louisville Slugger B349 block letter model bat during that 1999 season – one which Boggs reached the 3000 hit plateau. This bat features deep stampings with Boggs name, team name and model number boldly burned into the barrel. Extensive ball marks, with blue ink transfers and white scuff marks, and deep stitch impressions permeate the barrel. The upper handle has a tremendous amount of pine tar, with a lesser amount at the lower handle. The knob has his number “12” written in black marker, and a bold, blue sharpie “Wade Boggs HOF 05 Game Used” on the bats sweet spot. COA from PSA/DNA, cert number W45715 for the signature; Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number 1B07812 for the bats authenticity.
