As one of the most prolific hitters in the modern era, Wade Boggs fashioned a lifetime .328 BA, many of his 3,010 hits ricocheting off the sweet spot of Louisville Sluggers akin to this model. Boggs played the hot corner, designated hitter and first base for the Red Sox, Yankees and Rays. A 12-time All-Star, the Chicken Man won five AL batting titles and two Gold Glove awards at third base. He was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2005. This 34-inch, 31.4-oz. white ash Louisville Slugger model-B349 Wade Boggs professional model bat with cupped end is intact and game ready. Blue bat rack streaks blemish the barrel’s and handle’s “flame-burned” finish. Boggs’ number “12” is written on the knob and recessed barrel cup in black Sharpie. The bat was game prepped by Boggs as a Red Sox, where he was No. 26, prior to signing with the Yankees as a free agent in 1993. An LOA from PSA/DNA verifies the bat’s authenticity.
