The 1955 New York Yankees came within one game of winning the franchise’s 17th World Series title, but fell to the Brooklyn Dodgers in Game 7 of the Fall Classic. The Bronx Bombers were led by Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto and Whitey Ford, all of which signed this Spalding Official Baseball in various color inks. In all, 27 members of the ’55 Yankees penned the piece. Berra and Rizzuto share space on the baseball’s sweet spot. Other notable signatures on the baseball include Jim Konstanty, Billy Martin, Elston Howard, Bobby Richardson, Don Larsen, Bob Turley and Joe Collins. The team-signed baseball comes with a full JSA LOA.
