For more than three decades, the pasture of Yankee Stadium was manned by a Hall of Fame player. Both DiMaggio and Mantle earned three AL MVP awards. Their teams won 15 World Series. The offensive production from position #8 for those 32 seasons may never be duplicated. DiMaggio and Mantle are baseball immortals.
This lot of three bats holds the autographs of each diamond deity. These white ash, “Powerized,” professional model-125 Louisville Sluggers have been signed by Yankee greats Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle. DiMaggio signed the Model-125 GENUINE bat in vivid black Sharpie on the barrel below his engraved signature. The signature is clean but has some smearing on the “J” and “D.” The bat’s knob has been engraved with “D29L.”
Mantle signed one of his “Powerized,” professional model-125 Louisville Sluggers in vivid black Sharpie on the barrel below his engraved signature. The signature is clean and clear. The second bat he signed and inscribed “To the Jimmy Fund Best Wishes” in bold black Sharpie under his engraved signature. Both inscription and signature are clean. The signature evinces slight smearing. Both 35-inch Mantle bats have been engraved on the knob with “M110.” The signatures have been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
