Leroy “Satchel” Paige was the greatest and most popular player in Negro League history. Winning games on the mound with his trademark fastball, (some people claim Paige threw harder than any pitcher ever) and winning over fans with his equally trademarked personality. They definitely broke the mold when ‘Ol Satch was born. Satchel used to barnstorm around the country pitching against anybody who would face him, including Major League players during pre-integration. This single signed, creamy-toned OAL Joe Cronin baseball contains bold stampings and a deep “Satchel Paige” blue ink signature (“8/10”) on a side panel.
