Apparently after countless years of being victimized by Boston Celtics great John Havlicek, the Chicago Bulls decided they would attempt to court the eight-time NBA champion. Unfortunately for the Bulls, their quest to land the 13-time All-Star was unsuccessful. Part of Chicago’s plan included issuing Havlicek his very own Bulls jersey, complete with his number “17” which has since been retired by Boston. This extremely rare white Bulls home jersey was signed by Havlicek in bold, silver Sharpie on the reverse side “7.” The official jersey boasts a “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag on the front tail with a size “42” tag affixed below. “BULLS” appears across the chest with “17” on both sides in red-on-black pressed lettering. “HAVLICEK” is featured across the back of the jersey in red pressed lettering. The jersey has light yellow circular staining on the front below the number and extending to the “BULLS” logo across the chest. The signed jersey comes with a letter from Alan Meza, indicating the jersey was obtained directly from Havlicek. The signature is certified with a PSA/DNA LOA.
