Julius Winfield “Dr. J” Erving II, known for his signature “slam” dunk, was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993 and was also named to the NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. He won three championships, four Most Valuable Player awards, and three scoring titles with the ABA’s Virginia Squires and New York Nets and the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers. In the 76ers’ 1982-83 season, Erving and Moses Malone became one of the most formidable and unstoppable center-forward combinations of all time. The Sixers dominated the whole season and eventually claimed the 1983 NBA title by sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers. This signed jersey is a size 48 (XL) red jersey with a red, white, and blue trim made by the Nostalgia Co. Mitchell & Ness. “SIXERS” is across the chest with the number “6” on the front and back in white and blue twill. Also on the front tail, is a white patch with “1982-1983 Philadelphia 76’ers Julius Erving” in black thread. The Hardwood Classics patch with the NBA logo and Nostalgia Co. logo is located below. “ERVING” is across the back in white twill sewn directly onto the jersey. Erving’s signature with the words “83 champs” is located on the back “6” in black Sharpie with the PSA/DNA sticker. Accompanying this jersey is a COA from PSA/DNA authenticated on July 29, 2010, with certification number K32270.
