Three National Football League legends, Joe Montana, Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton defined their respective positions in the sport for the better part of two decades. The first in this lot of two items features a 16x20-inch signed photograph of Smith, the NFL’s all-time rushing leader, and Montana shaking hands following Dallas’ 30-20 triumph over the 49ers in the 1992 NFC Championship game. Both players signed the color photograph in bold, blue Sharpie near their images. The second item is a Payton signed 8x10-inch display titled “A Legend Among Us” featuring a collage of images of the Hall of Fame Bears running back and a brief background of his football accomplishments. The signed display is housed in a 15x21 ½-inch black frame. Both items are PSA/DNA certified, the Montana/Smith image with verification number “P39985” and the Payton display with verification number “L10947.”
