The 1996-97 season saw a new era begin for Los Angeles Lakers basketball as an 18-year-old rookie named Kobe Bryant joined forces with Shaquille O’Neal. By the end of the 2002 season, the duo would own three NBA titles together. This officially licensed Sports Specialties Los Angeles Lakers hat features nine signatures from the 1996-97 Lakers team that reached the Western Conference semifinals. Highlighting the bunch are the signatures of Bryant and O’Neal, both of which appear in bold, black Sharpie on the green underside of the brim. In that same location are the signatures of seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry, current Lakers coach Byron Scott and Travis Knight. On top of the purple hat are the signatures of Nick Van Exel, Joe Kleine, Sean Rooks and one other player, all in bold, black Sharpie. The multi-signed hat comes with a full PSA/DNA LOA, certification number “I88327.”
