One of baseball’s brightest young stars to enter the big leagues in the mid-2000’s, Matt Kemp started to show his true potential beginning in 2008 when he hit .290 with 18 homers and 76 RBIs. The numbers climbed from there for the Dodgers outfielder, who has since appeared in two All-Star games and nearly captured the NL MVP in 2011. This 2010 grey Kemp game-used Dodgers road uniform features excellent signs of authenticity, highlighted by the prominent dirt stain on the left shoulder of the jersey. “Los Angeles” is scripted in Dodger blue tackle twill across the chest, with Kemp’s number “27” appearing in red tackle twill on the left side below the crest. The left sleeve boasts a stitched “LA” logo in blue tackle twill, while the right sleeve features a “1955 Dodgers 1st WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP” commemorative patch. The reverse side of the jersey features “KEMP” across the top and “27” below in Dodger blue tackle twill. The inside collar boasts a grey strip tag that reads “27 Kemp 48 2010,” while a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s tag appears on the front tail. The matching Majestic pants show even more evidence of game use than the jersey, made clear by the large repair patch near the left knee and trio of small holes that adorn the legs. A white strip tag on the inner waist of the pants reads “27 Kemp 40-45 35 OB C ’10.” The game-used Kemp uniform comes with an LOA from California Sports Investments and full LOA from noted sports jersey expert Dave Miedema.
