One of the most feared hitters in baseball today, few pitchers can stand in the way of Miami slugger Giancarlo Stanton. That list includes Cy Young award winner David Price. The dominant left-hander was acquainted with Stanton in a June 4 showdown at Tampa Bay’s Tropicana Field. Seemingly in control in the top of the 1st inning, Price faced Stanton with no men on and two outs after striking out the first two batters he faced. Stanton halted Price’s momentum, doubling this very Rawlings OML Selig baseball and later scoring a run in the Marlins’ eventual 5-4 victory. The game-used ball appears as expected, littered with scuffs, dirt marks and bat impressions. The game-used ball comes with a holographic sticker from the MLB Authentication program, certification number “HZ065866.”
