The Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame was chartered in 1962, and is the only community based Hall of Fame in the Country. At present there are 29 Chartered Chapters serving more than 300 communities throughout the state of Pennsylvania. From a group of more than 250 inductees and honorees each year, the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame ceremonial seats 10 living and two deceased inductees on its Dais of Honor. In addition to a gold medallion, each honoree is presented with this Hall of Fame pin. This pin measures .75” in length and has “PA SPORTS HALL OF FAME MEMBER” in raised letters atop a torch. The reverse does not give an indication of who was presented this pin, however, the clasp on the reverse has the manufacturer’s name “BALLOU” stamped. Excellent to Mint overall condition.
