Mike Trout is the best player in the game today, hitting for average, hitting for power with tremendous running speed and above average defense. In his third full season in 2014, Trout is still only 22 years old. He is one of the youngest, but also arguably the most talented and best player in the game today. At the ripe old age of 22, Mike Trout has garnered two second place finishes in the MVP voting and looking to secure his initial MVP in this 2014 season. This 33.5 inch, 32.6 ounce Old Hickory bat was game used by Trout during the 2013 season. This un-cracked Pro Maple MT27 model bat has his name “MIKE TROUT” engraved in the barrel, which is full of ball marks including blue ink transfers plus a few stitch impressions. The handle is taped in a spiral pattern and covered with Mota stick and pine tar, all applied to enhance the grip. Also present are multiple rack marks and weighted donut impressions, and the knob has “27” written in black marker. On the sweet spot (between the label and barrel stampings) is a bold, silver Sharpie “MIKE TROUT 27 ’13 Game Used” signature and inscription.
