As one of the key contributors during the New York Yankees amazing run of Four World Series titles (in five appearances) from 1996-2001, Bernie Williams will be forever in the hearts of Yankees fans. During the 2000 and/or 2001 seasons, Williams wore this 12.75 inch glove when he roamed the vast green landscape of Yankee Stadium’s centerfield. The Rawlings “PRO301-6J” model glove exhibits extensive wear in the pocket, fingers and outer shell, with his name “Bernie Williams” stitched on the outer thumb. Williams won the last of his four Gold Glove awards after the 2000 season. According to the PSA/DNA full LOA, “Stamped on the pinky is Rawlings gold glove series logo and underneath a single dot indicating the glove was manufactured in the late 2000 for use and we call this glove 2000-2001.” So it is likely the extensive use of this glove came during the 2001 season. A great gamer from Bernie Williams, one of the key contributors to the Yankees amazing run of four World Series Championships in five seasons. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number 1G00149.
