Presented is a seldom-offered, very attractive 167-card near set of the 168-card R60 "G-Men & Heroes of the Law" non-sports cards issued in 1936. Ten cards have been graded by PSA, with favorable condition evaluations ranging between PSA EX-MT 6 and PSA NM-MT 8. As it was for sports-related trading card releases, the 1930s was a "Golden Era" for non-sports gum card productions. Among the more substantial and widely popular issues from the period was this skip-numbered gallery. Its cartoonish but graphic "cops vs. robbers" full-color illustrations, along with detailed supporting text, combine to portray the pivotal era of gangsters and the legacy that they left behind. Completing this set is an especially challenging task due to its five notorious rarities (#'s 28, 57, 88, 94 and 100), additional difficult pieces and the issue's sought-after "High Number" entries. Missing #38 for completion. Mostly VG/EX to EX/MT or finer (some lesser).
