Now the most decorated closer in Major League Baseball history, soon-to-be New York Yankees Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera was on an epic journey in 2011 to become the game’s all-time saves leader. He accomplished that feat on Sept. 20, shutting the door on a 6-4 win over Minnesota for save No. 602, which pushed him ahead of Trevor Hoffman atop the record books. This black, game-used Nike Diamond Elite 11.5-inch glove features Rivera’s signature in bold, silver sharpie on the outer left ring finger with the inscription “Road to 602” and “11 game used” below. This remarkable glove features all of Rivera’s personalized touches, including his number “42,” “Mariano Rivera” and the bible passage “PHIL 4:13” all stitched in white on the outside of the piece. The signed, game-used glove comes with a signed Steiner LOA by Rivera.
