Famous first World Series for the Big Train Walter Johnson, who was the winning pitcher in Game 7. Issued in the Nation’s Capital during the Washington Senators only successful Fall Classic endeavor, this 1924 World Series program is a survivor from a storied franchise’s most glorious effort. The front cover has a local flavor with a black-and-white photo of Senators’ skipper Bucky Harris shaking hands with President Calvin Coolidge. In a unique format, the interior covers are home to unmarked scoring grids with pre-printed lineups, while the 32 interior pages feature black-and-white photographs of Senators players. The un-scored program is rough, with a completely detached cover, vertical fold, vintage tape inside both covers (not doing their intended job) and moderate edge wear. Good condition.
