The memorable 1925 World Series was played down to the wire as Pittsburgh came from behind to beat Walter Johnson and the Washington Senators in the seventh game at Forbes Field. Presented is a stunning 64-page, 8 x 10.5 inch program from the Washington Baseball Club that contains numerous black and white photos and advertisements, many of which feature the “Big Train” during his 1925 A.L. MVP season. In addition, each of the participants of the hometown Senators are prominently features with full length images and additional information. The front cover shows some wear near the staples and a small tear in the middle of the spine, but with the spine still fully intact. The front cover features both managers, and both covers have light staining and edge wear, protecting the delicate newspaper like pages from the elements. The inner pages are in overall very strong condition, with no detachments. The scorecard is clean and unmarked. Although the Nationals lost the tense 1925 series, this program is highly desirable due to the extensive nature of the photography of the players. Overall excellent condition.
