The New York Yankees swept the Chicago Cubs in four games during the 1932 World Series. This unmarked souvenir score card was issued at Wrigley Field in Chicago during either Games 3 or 4. Game 3 will be forever remembered for Ruth’s famous “called shot” to center field. Measuring 6” x 9-1/4”, this 12-page program shows signs of handling with vertical creases down the center that are visible on both covers and most of the pages within. The internal pages showcase four pages of black and white portraits of the Cubs, starting lineup cards for both teams which are not marked, and four pages of black and whites featuring the Yankees. A crease can be seen at the bottom corner of the page picturing Ruth and Gehrig, as if it was folded to mark the page.
