Except for the first All Star Game in 1933, this 1941 contest was perhaps the most exciting contest played up to that point. A young Ted Williams hit a two-out three run homer in the bottom of the 9th, winning the game for the American League 7-5. The AL stars scored four times in that ninth inning. This 7.5 x 10.5 inch, 28 page un-scored program is in excellent condition with light toning front and back, but contains very clean pages. Appears unhandled for the most part with light spine touches on each corner. A nice feature inside is a small tribute to Lou Gehrig who passed away a few weeks earlier, and to two players (Hank Greenberg) who missed the game due to their service in the War. Excellent overall condition.
