The 1927 New York Yankees put together one of the best seasons in Major League Baseball history, going 110-44 in the regular season before eventually sweeping the Pittsburgh Pirates for the World Series title. The ’27 Yanks were fueled by their famed “Murderer’s Row” lineup consisting of Earle Combs, Mark Koenig, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Bob Meusel and Tony Lazzeri. Throw in Hall of Fame pitchers Herb Pennock and Waite Hoyt, and it’s no wonder the Bronx Bombers dominated in such grand fashion. This 1927 Yankees shellacked OAL team-signed baseball features the signatures of all the aforementioned New York greats, six of them Hall of Famers, along with a host of other team members. The crown jewel, Ruth, penned the baseball prominently on the sweet spot while the remaining signatures litter the surrounding panels. Also appearing on the baseball is: Urban Shocker, George Pipgras, Pat Collins, Benny Bengough, Dutch Ruether and manager Miller Huggins, who according to PSA/DNA is a clubhouse version of the signature. Three others also signed the ball, bringing the grand total to 17 from this amazing team. The blue-and-red stitched Reach baseball carries brownish/yellow cover due to its protective coat and comes with a full PSA/DNA LOA.
