The game’s all-time winning-est pitcher, Young’s 511 victories is a mark that has endured more than 100 years. His signature is highly coveted in any Hall of Fame collection. This Hardwood Official League baseball features Young’s signature in a rarely seen form. The famed hurler penned the off-white baseball “Denton T. (Cy) Young” on the sweet spot, two increasingly improbable finds. According to PSA, Young single-signed baseballs on the sweet spot “are very difficult to acquire.” To see Young sign the baseball in his full name is extremely uncommon. The signature, though showing signs of interruption in the pen flow, is prominent, spanning the majority of the sweet spot panel.
