In his second year with the Anaheim Angels after inking a huge $75 million five year deal, left-handed hurler C.J. Wilson had the best season of his career in 2013 going 17-7 with a 3.39 ERA in 33 starts spanning 212 innings. Wilson wore this “Turn Back the Clock,” MLB Authenticated (#EK 349903) 1969 “California” Angels uniform during the team’s game against the Oakland As on July 27, 2013. This size-48, vintage 1969 Angels button-down, gray road jersey has the word Angels stitched across the front using the team’s historic font in dark blue and red tackle twill and Wilson’s number 33 on the back. A “100th Anniversary” MLB logo patch is sewn on the left shoulder and an MLB Authentic/Majestic manufacturers label with a size “48” “taper” and “+1 “sleeve” flag tags on the front left tail.
Matching pants have blue and red side piping and mesh lined rear pockets and also contain MLB Authentic/Majestic label stitched into the waistband with a “33 Wilson 36-41 37 OB C 1969” strip tag. Uniform shows very light wear with a few small pine tar smudges on each of the pant legs and was most likely only worn for that one game.
