After being crowned National League Champions in 1937 (where they lost in the World Series to the mighty New York Yankees), the New York Giants steadily declined and in 1940 they finished in sixth place. Offered are two programs from that season, one fully intact and one missing some pages. However, both are signed by several players. Includes: 1) missing some inner pages including scorecard portion, and has signatures of Mel Ott, Harry Danning and Walter Brown on cover in pencil. Light staining. Original owner name of “Frank Morse” in ink on cover. 2) intact program for Giants game vs Cincinnati Reds with pencil signatures of Melt Ott, Harry Danning, Walter Brown and Travis Jackson on cover. Original owner name of “Jack Morse” in ink on cover. Light staining, some separation to spine. Likely two brothers attended same game, obtaining signatures outside stadium. LOA from PSA/DNA.
