Daniel Briere built his reputation as a clutch postseason performer by posting 30 points (12 goals, 18 assists) during the Philadelphia Flyers’ run to the Stanley Cup Finals in the 2009-10 season. This Briere game-used orange Flyers sweater comes from that very campaign and was worn by Briere during the middle of the regular season, in games 3, 4 and 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against Boston and games 1, 2 and 5 of Philadelphia’s Eastern Conference Finals win over Montreal. The “Reebok” jersey features the Flyers’ crest stitched to the chest of the jersey, with “BRIERE” across the back in black tackle twill on a white name plate above his number “48,” which appears in white-on-black tackle twill. The sleeves of the jersey feature Briere’s number “48” in orange-on-black tackle twill. The inside of the jersey features the white, two-button Velcro tie-down strap along with a MeiGray Group “NHL Game-Worn 2009-2010 Season” tag with number “G03035.” The size 52 jersey shows moderate evidence of game use, including black scuff marks throughout and a minor tear in the left sleeve. The game-used jersey comes with a full LOA signed by Flyers equipment manager Derek Settlemyre and 8x10-inch photo of Briere wearing the jersey in a game against the Bruins.
