Cey held down third base on what became baseball's longest running all-star infield - Steve Garvey (1st), Davey Lopes (2nd), Bill Russell (SS) and Cey stayed together for a remarkable eight summers. This bat dates from the third baseman's early years with the quartet when he just missed out on the Rookie of the Year Award and then went on to begin a string of six All-Star appearances. Cey's Hillerich & Bradsby K55 bat shows heavy use and there is a crack on the upper handle. Slight grain swelling from repeated ball contact can be seen on the back barrel. Cey's number "10" is hand written on the knob end. A great looking gamer from one of the stand-out stars of the 1970's. Letter of Authenticity (1B08408) from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat GU 8.
