One of the greatest hitters in history, Rod Carew slapped out 3053 career hits, good for a .328 career batting average. This white pullover knit jersey features "Angels" across the chest in red-on-navy tackle twill with a yellow tackle twill halo around the "A." Carew's number "29" has been stitched to the front left and back in red-on-navy tackle twill. Each sleeve and the collar bear a navy-red-navy stripe accent and the left sleeve bears a California state patch. The left front tail contains a “Wilson 42” manufacturer’s wash tag with a small white swatch reading "80" in navy stitching. The Hall of Famer has signed and personalized "To Andy - My Best To You - Rod Carew - '85" on the front right in black marker ("8/10") completely in his own hand. Exhibits nice evidence of game wear.
