First making a mark for himself as a fresh-faced kid on the World Series-Bound Florida Marlins in 2003, Miguel Cabrera has continued to improve with age, acknowledged today as one of baseball's greatest active players. His 2012 season was one for the ages as he batted .330 with 44 home runs and 139 RBI runs, becoming the first player to win the Triple Crown since 1967. This striking-looking two-tone Cabrera's SAM MC1 bat shows excellent use and is uncracked. Several ball marks with stitch impressions can be seen on the barrel and the impression from a weighted batting donut is evident. A moderate coat of Mota stick runs from the handle to the SAM logo. The bat's specs - length "34", weight "32oz" date "07/16/12", model "MC1" and order "2331" is hand written on the top barrel in black ink. Cabrera's number "24" and team weight code is written on the knob and barrel end. The Triple Crown winner has signed the barrel in silver ink along with his number "24". A great game used specimen from one of the greatest single season performances in 21st century baseball history. Letter of Authenticity (1B07392) from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat GU 9.
