In what will go down as the last “banner year” of his spectacular 20 seasons in pinstripes, Derek Jeter was named to his 10th All-Star team, won his fourth Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards and most significantly, earned his fifth World Series championship ring with the New York Yankees in 2009. Jeter used this pair of well-worn grey and white Nike Air Jordan batting gloves during the 2009 season when he hit .334 with 18 HRs and 66 RBI. A small blue and white patch with Jeter’s name and #2 are affixed to the inside of the wrist strap of each glove which closes with a rubber flap. The flying air Jordan logo is on the white mesh, backhand side of both gloves and the grey leather palms contain moderate coats of pine tar. Each glove comes with its own Steiner Sports Collectibles COA and the pair comes with a full Steiner LOA signed by Jeter.
