At the end of his first eight-year stint with the New York Yankees, Bobby Murcer was one of the most popular players in pinstripes appearing in four consecutive All-Star games from 1971-1974. Murcer hit .304 with 22 home runs and 95 RBI in 1973, the first year of the labeling period for this cracked 34.5-inch, 31.6-ounce Louisville Slugger bat. Bat shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch impressions, red and green bat rack marks and grain swelling. While the bat was manufactured for Murcer, Yankees teammate Roy White’s number 6 is written in black marker over the K55 model engraving with a moderate coat of pine tar towards the top of the handle. Crack at the label is secured with a screw and glue; comes with PSA/DNA LOA certification # 1B08415.
