A five-time American League batting champion in six of his first seven big league seasons, Wade Boggs .328 career batting average ranks 33rd on MLBs all-time list. This 34-inch, 31.5-ounce Cooper Pro 100 model B349 appears to have been used to great effect during its labeling period of 1988-1992, with numerous ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers on the right and back barrel. Boggs applied a moderate coat of pine tar to the bottom of the handle and near the label, his number “26” and the bat’s “34” ounce weight are written in black marker on the knob. Boggs signed the flame burned finish bat in bold blue sharpie with a “#26” inscription between the label and barrel where his facsimile signature is also printed in black; comes with PSA/DNA LOA certification #D63124 PSA GU-8 certification #81613430.
