After starting off 2008 injured, Soriano roared back, at one point hitting seven home runs in six games on his way to a fine .280 season with 29 homers. The SAM Bat model AS12 shows heavy use and is un-cracked. There are many ball marks with stitch impressions on the barrel along with ink transfers. Green bat rack paint streaks are visible and the handle has been taped with a criss-cross pattern about 13 inches from the knob end to enhance the grip. A light coat of pine tar is on the handle and a heaver coating is located near the center brand. Soriano's number "12" has been hand written on both ends in black marker and the bat's specs are noted on the barrel end in black. Soriano has signed the bat and written his number "12" in black marker to the right of the center brand. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA (I02194) who have graded this bat GU 9.
