A-Rod simply exploded offensively in 2007, leading the AL with a Ruthian 54 home run as well as taking the award for slugging, most RBI and runs scored. He turned around and led the league in slugging the following year as well and this is one of his bats that made him one of the game's most formidable hitters. A-Rod's Louisville Slugger C271L bat shows heavy use and is un-cracked. Many ball marks with stitch impressions can be seen on the barrel which includes some blue ink transfers. There is some grain swelling on the barrel from repeated ball contact along with cleat imprints. An impression from a weighted batting donut can be seen and a heavy coat of Mota Stick has been applied to the handle. A-Rod has signed the barrel in contrasting silver ink. This is a perfect example of a Rodriguez bat from his prime years. PSA/DNA has agreed, giving this bat's Letter of Authenticity a perfect grade of GU 10 (I02349). An Alex Rodriguez hologram has been affixed to the bat and a COA is included.
