Nobody does Old Timers Day like the Yankees do, especially since they created the promotion in 1948. This full size Yankee garment bag was likely used by one of the day’s Stadium returnees, and is constructed of navy blue leather and “pinstripe” cloth on the other side. Printed on the leather is “NEW YORK YANKEES OLD TIMERS DAY JULY 29, 1978.” Interestingly, this bag was probably recycled afterwards in the minors as a Nashville Sounds (Yankee Double A team) logo patch is stitched to one of the leather pockets. Extensive wear and use evident. A one of a kind type Yankee item, the first we have seen.
